Florida voters, bend over, grab your ankles.

The current Florida Legislature is getting a big tube of KY ready in order to push thru a handful of constitutional amendments that will benefit the majority party and those delusional tea baggers……..err, tea partiers.

The League of Women Voters came out with a scathing report on the amendments.

Amendment 5 (State Courts) would tip the balance of power in favor of political branches greater influence in the selection of judges appointed to serve on Florida’s Supreme court. It seeks to undermine the intent of our nonpartisan judicial nominating system by requiring confirmation for all judicial appointments to the high court.

According to former  State Senator Alex Villalobos:This puts the nominee back into the political process based on partisan politics and the possibility of a qualified candidate being rejected because of ideological differences with the current party in office.

(See Florida judges Pariente, Lewis and Quince. The current Florida Governor and Legislature feel that their decisions have been too liberal (Horrors!) so they are making machinations to have them booted out of office instead of letting the PEOPLE vote for them as usual)

Amendment 6 (Prohibition on Public Funding of Abortions:Construction of Abortion Rights) would allow Florida politicians to intrude* on personal medical decisions between a woman , her family and her doctor.

*This is from the hypocritical party that wants less government.

Amendment 8 (Religious Freedom) is an obtuse amendment that would allow taxpayer funding of religious institutions. It will allow public money to be used for religious indoctrination. Saying NO to this amendment will not jeopardize existing funding for some religious groups’ social welfare programs.

If this amendment goes thru specific groups will be able to promote their agenda and blackmail thru lack of funding the groups that are opposed to their ideology….Hmmmmmmmmm kind of the same thing they are trying to do with the judges, you don’t vote our way we will cut you off at the knees. The problem with these zealots is that while they do not speak for the majority of Florida voters they have managed to elect those of their kind to office so they are trying to jam their ideology in different orifices of the voting public.

Florida ,having some of the most disinterested and apathetic voters does not help at all. In my business I hear a lot of griping from the public about the current state of affairs but when its time to vote you rarely see more than a 25%  voter turnout. Sad but true. How in the hell Rick Scott got elected as Florida’s governor is still mind-boggling to this day.

Now that its Mitt

Can you imagine the Republican/Obstructionist party brain trust a year and a half ago going over the candidates for President?

“Well boys ( and I am sure there were few if any women in that smoke-filled room) we have a little bit of everything in the works, we are going to look progressive and inclusive with the smorgasbord of candidates we have in our line up.”

At this time Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh must have prepared the altar for the sacrifice.

“For the Negroes ( please do not tell me the Rep/Obs use African-American) we have Herman Cain, a business leader former CEO of Godfather Pizza and is a great speaker. Make sure when we vet him that he is not a cunt hound and that there is no history of him chasing after white women, that would be embarrassing and would get all the old white men that vote for us in a dither, a black man with money and a big black cock after our women.”

At this time Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity would be doing a circle jerk to get themselves “pumped up” for the votes.

“For the wetbacks, spics and latinos we have Marco Rubio from Florida, a Cuban Conservative, there’s strange one for you, we must have created him in a lab or something. Shame he is so young he would be a good vice presidential candidate. When you vet him make sure he didnt get in bed with Jeb Bush over that Terry Schiavo mess. It would be embarrassing to look like our party wants to tell women what to do with their bodies.Let’s have him ready for 2016.”

“For the conservative christians we have the perfect guy, Rick (Back to the Stoneage) Santorum. Family man, family values, photogenic, no history of playing footsie with anyone. Make sure when you vet him he does not appear stiff, mentally living in the 1950’s , so conservative that he makes Ozzie Nelson look like Ozzy Osborne.”

“For the women’s vote we have Michelle (Stepford Wife) Bachmann. Not in the Sarah Palin class but we can fluff her up on the outside, don’t think that is possible on the inside. Make sure when we vet her she does not appear to be a brainless boob and that her husband does not run a center for brainwashing homosexuals into believing they are straight. That would hurt the gay vote, what little we have of it.”

“Next we have a world-class dunderhead in Governor Rick Perry of Texas. This guy makes George W. look like a Rhodes Scholar. We have him for the southern/yahoo/gun-nuts/militia vote. When you vet him make sure he doesn’t tire easily and say stupid things, more stupid that usual. This guy, the more he talks, the worse he sounds, if he could do sign language that would be great.”

We have saved the best for last, Newt Gingrich. Experienced, opinionated, scholarly, been there, done that. This guy is a lock. Make sure when you vet him he does not come across as mean-spirited, vindictive or has a Napoleonic complex and make sure his private life is clean, no affairs or serving wife divorce papers while in hospital, that would look mean, selfish and self-centered. And make sure he does not use the word fundamental in every other sentence.”

If there is an airplane crash and all these candidates perish we have the B-team.

“Donald Trump, he is like the popular girl in school who flirts with all the guys but sleeps with whoever will be best for her goals.”

“Ron Paul,  he is the Elmer Fudd of the party. He is like the crazy grandfather the family keeps locked up in the back room and only bring him out when the social worker comes out.”

“And finally we have Mitt Romney, this guy is as stiff as a board, keeps his money overseas and in foreign banks, people will never go for that. He is a Mormon and his grandfather had like five wives and his great-grandfather had twelve wives. He has bought U.S. companies and sent that work overseas. The state he governed was forty-seventh in job creation when he left. This guy makes paint drying look exciting. His kids look like they all came from the same test tube. This guy has no chance of winning the nomination.”

Ted Cruz, Hispanic Uncle Tom?

Candidate for the Texas Senate Ted Cruz made the following comment at the Republican National Convention in Tampa recently:

“Fifty-five years ago, when my dad was a penniless teenage immigrant, thank God some well-meaning bureaucrat didn’t put his arm around him and say ‘Let me take care of you.Let me give you a government check and make you dependent on government. And by the way, don’t bother learning English.’ That would have been the most destructive thing anyone could have done.”

Hey Ted, what are you doing in the Republican/Obstructionist party? They are getting rid of illegal immigrants as fast as you can say “La Migra”. Nothing wrong with that but how about the hard-working ones that are here and paying their way thru? What about the ones that have had kids born and raised here? Sort of like you.

How about if fifty-five years ago they would put your dad up against the wall and said to him:’Hey sir you need two types of I.D. like a driver’s license and another form of identification to work, drive a car. Oh you don’t? You are undocumented, you have to go, we will deport you since you have no form of I.D.‘ If the senate was filled with the same people back then that are in power now, Papa Cruz might have been deported and you would NOT have been born in the good ol’ U.S.A.

If you do get elected and you probably will since you appear to be the token latino for the Rep/Obs, it will be curious how your vote goes when it comes to the Dream Act.

Paul Ryan, wildcard or wildman?

With the addition of Paul Ryan to the Mitt (offshore bank account) Romney it is evidently clear that the one percenters have put together a team to keep the rich richer (tax breaks for the wealthy) and to keep corporations rolling in the dough at the expense of the middle class and the backs of the working class.

This pairing from Hell if you are looking at it from the working mans point of view or pairing from Heaven if you are a tea bagger…..err sorry, tea party or Republican/Obstructionist party member.

So these two elitists will bring the Medicare overhaul plan to the forefront of the Presidential elections coming our way in the next months. The Rep/Obs did not want to go this route because in their probable Karl (scorched earth campaigns) Rove plan they were going to attack President (Hipster) Obama on the economy and jobs.

Mr.Ryan is the architect of the GOP’s Medicare blueprint and gives the conservatives and the tea baggers virtual hardons with just the mention of his name. The basis of this plan is the Rep/Obs mantra: Less government.

But here is the catch; less government means more private sector. While that means more jobs remember that government programs have safety valves built-in. In Medicare as it is now there are set prices to what can be charged from office visits to MRI’s . The government controls the pricing. In Obamacare it goes even further since there will be a watchdog committee making sure there is no gouging. This really has to piss off the insurance companies, hospitals owned by conglomerates, doctors and of course the real evil; the pharmaceutical companies.

What happens when the private sector takes over is that there are no checkpoints and that is when the CEO’s get their hardons well………on. Remember Wall Street? the greed, the banks, the stock trading companies that went tits up? Remember Lehman Brothers? The mortgage abuses? All of this happened when deregulation took place and less government (Saint Ronald Reagan’s favorite phrase) was turned into more private sector jobs.

So in Mr.Ryan’s plan Mr. and Mrs. Middle America will get a voucher so they can purchase the equivalent of Medicare on the private market. Or they can spend the stipend on whatever current Medicare program is on at that time. The caveat is that there is no guarantee that the stipend will cover the full cost of Medicare.

Of course the private sector means there will be no watchdog on prices. It will be free market pricing. The big corporations will be dictating prices and coverage.  The CEO’s will be salivating and instead of saying “brains” like zombies they will be saying “price gouging”.   With big corporations everything has to be profitable. Look, I am not against capitalism. I am a small business owner myself. I believe in making a profit. But  there has to be a moral fine line between profits and greed.

The current conservative mantra is less government. I piss my pants every time I see a tea party drone with a sign that says ” Government Keep your hands off my Medicare.” The idiot must have forgotten Medicare is a government program.

And the tea partiers have been hijacked by the Rep/Obs party. So less government will mean less Medicare and less Social Security. Hmmmmm I wonder how all those tea baggers that rely on Medicare,Social Security and pensions to survive will do with less government. You cannot have it both ways.

You cant rail against less government while sucking on the government teat.

Ryan is the perfect foil for Romney, makes the one percenters happy, the tea baggers and the conservatives extremely happy.

I wonder if that will be enough to carry them to the top?

Rick Perry and Rick Scott, cut from same cloth?

Two Republican governors from two of the poorest states in the Nation, Florida and Texas have refused Federal Medicare funds that are part of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare as the Republican/Obstructionist party would rather call it.

So Dumb as a Post and The Alien have done this on principle because they do not want to pay the 7% the states have to pay for this extra coverage. Mind you the Federal government is picking up 93% of the tab but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…..they wont even implement the law using the excuse that their respective states can’t afford the extra burden. This blatant disregard leaves  2.3 million of their constituents without health insurance. They simply do not care.

Rick “Alien” Scott has gutted Health and Human agencies in Florida while offsetting costs with corporate tax cuts. He has cut children’s medical services and support to the elderly.

Four million dollars have  been cut from Florida’s infectious disease control budget and now there is a possibility that there will be a tuberculosis outbreak in Florida according to the CDC. Oh, and as a result of those cuts the largest TB hospital in Florida is slated to close.

These governors are hiding behind fiscal responsibility in order to stonewall Obamacare and deny much-needed health care to those who need it most.

Let’s give the voters of both those states a pass and imagine they had a brain freeze or were kidnapped by aliens before they voted both of these geniouses into office. But dont let them have another term.

Texas Republicans are morons.

The Texas Republican party has taken a Back to the Future approach with their platform for 2012 or is it 1912?

From the state that brought you George W. (Rhodes Scholar)Bush:

Look at some of these backward ideas and you tell me if they have lost their minds in Texas or they really have set evolution back a couple of DNA pools or they are just stupid, racist,ignorant, homo-hating assholes?

Some of the Neanderthal ideas these geniouses have come up with:

Repeal the voting act of 1965: This does not allow the states to deny the right to vote to anyone based or color or race, probably the biggest socially moral leap for our country since the Emancipation Proclamation.

They are against the morning after pill? Really ? we have been screwed by Big Oil so much we feel we need a morning after pill. But seriously, leave that choice to the consenting adults please, you don’t like it, don’t take it,just don’t force your beliefs on the rest of your state let alone the country.

They oppose teaching critical thinking skills. Think, but we don’t really want you to be a free-thinker.

They want to return to the gold standard. Ho hum, take it up with the Federal Reserve.

Withdraw from the United Nations. No do not.We are the World’s policemen, don’t leave the U.N. just impose our will on it. You have the iron fist, use it.

Do not allow the Supreme Court to rule cases that deal with: abortion, religious freedom or the Bill of Rights. Ummm excuse me it’s called the Supreme Court for a reason. Just because their rulings do not agree with your backward ideas does not mean you can arbitrarily choose which cases they can or cannot rule on.

Abolish the EPA. Really? you think Big Oil or gas is behind this? ABOLISH IT? are you serious?

Homosexuality is bad. I am serious they really have this on their agenda. If Joe wants to play the skinflute or Janie wants to munch the carpet I do not care just keep in indoors like the rest of us heterosexuals.

Evolution is a controversial theory. Well based on some of these proposals they might be right. Looks like the evolution bus might have missed that stop in Texas.

Dear Texas, a couple of years ago another one of your yahoo politicians came up with a plan to secede from the Union, I think that might be a good idea, take your century old ideas and leave.Oh, and take Rick Perry with you.

Kill Jerry Sandusky

I predict that in less that three years after Jerry Sandusky is incarcerated he will be killed in prison.

It will take some time, cunning and guile but they’ll get him. Just like they did with Jeffery Dahmer.

Whether it’s the law of criminals within criminals or a bounty put out on Sandusky, some harm will befall him eventually.

Some quotes directly from Sandusky on the Bob Costas interview:

“And I didn’t go around seeking EVERY young person for sexual needs that I’ve helped”

“I horsed around with kids, I have showered after workouts,I have hugged them,I have touched their legs without sexual intentions”

WHAT THE FUCK, showered with kids? horsed around with them in the shower? touched their legs? And the crazy fuck did not think that was wrong?

“I shouldnt have showered with those kids” REALLY Jerry, you think?

He apologized to the mother of one of the kids in 1998 not for molesting the kid but for showering with him.

Denial, denial, denial. His attorney Joe Amendola was asked pre trial if he would allow his children to be left alone with Jerry, he said “absolutely” really Joe, I would like to see that.

Also his attorney said pre trial: ” we anticipate of the eight victims that the State is going to call on the stand will come forward to say this never happened.”

Hey Joe………trial is over, none of the eight recanted their testimony and one of Jerry’s adopted kids, Matt was ready to testify that Jerry abused HIM. No wonder you didn’t put that monster on the stand, well Joe guess every attorney has to make a living, hope your conscience eats you alive for defending that monster.

Hey Jerry when you get to Hell say hi to Jeffrey for me, I hope he will wait for you with some salt & pepper you fucking lowlife.

What the hell is wrong with Florida?

I have come to the conclusion that Florida is a portal to Hell. Instead of “Welcome to Florida ” at the border it should say “Abandon all hope ye who enter here.”

Just in recent memory, some from the hall of shame:

The face eating homeless man in Miami

George Zimmerman / Trayvon Martin

Casey Martin

Ted Bundy

Aileen Wuornos

Charles Whitman, yes the Texas Tower sniper but he was raised in Lake Worth FLORIDA

Bernie Madoff

Scott Rothstein

Allen Stanford

The inordinate amount of coordinated mortgage fraud from title agencies, bank officers, real estate brokers, straw buyers.

Flim-flam con men, fake investment companies, time share scams, people renting houses they do not own, planned fender benders to collect from insurance companies, clinics treating phantom patients and billing Medicare for millions.

Dozens if not hundreds of politicians kicked out of office from misdemeanors to major felonies. Do not get me started on the voting snafus, clusterfucks and Chicago-like voter fraud.

Exorbitant home insurance rates, impossible to afford windstorm insurance, sinkholes.

Trailer parks. Amusement parks that charge $80.00 per person, plus parking. So a family of four can get in a park for just a hair under $500 dollars and then its the nine dollar hot dog and the eleven dollar beer, so let the cash registers sing.

Just offshore: the Bermuda Triangle, hurricanes, refugees from Cuba and Haiti, drug smugglers, human smugglers, sharks, portuguese man o’ war, alligators, crocodiles, idiot tourists who can’t swim , the perils are endless.

Yet people flock to Florida like moths to a flame, to enjoy the beaches, the year round great weather, and the cultural diversity from the north Florida redneckish college town feel, to the international flavor of Miami, to the hip-hop feel of South Beach, to the laid back Jimmy Buffett feel of Key West.Come to Florida, you want weird, you got weird.

Oh no ! it’s the illegals!

On Friday June 15th, 2012 the “Hipster”, President Obama ordered the federal government to implement certain sections of the “Dream Act” that is being stalled in congress by the Republican/Obstructionist party.

He ordered work permits and the ceasing of deportation if you Are:

UNDER THIRTY,HAVE BEEN IN THE UNITED STATES SINCE BEFORE TURNING SIXTEEN, DO NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD.

For you knee jerk conservatives  reaching for your gun to go protect our borders re read the previous sentence.

It is not for everyone, if you are here illegally and you have a criminal record you will be deported, as you should be. The Obama administration has deported more illegals than the previous administration.

This action by the President will affect about 800,000 people. There are approximately 12 Million illegal aliens in the U.S.

50 percent are from Mexico, 25% are from Latin America 13% from Asian countries and the rest from Canada and Europe. Why anyone would want to come to the U.S. from Canada or Europe is beyond me. They have national medicine over there, why come over here to pay outrageous medical premiums and where the insurance companies dictate to the hospitals what to do as far as proper patient care.

Here in the U.S. if you do not have money or have insurance and you have a serious illness, good luck getting good care. But I digress.

The Obama haters are saying this is a “naked power grab”  or this is pandering to the Hispanic vote. I do not know about the power grab but of course Hispanics would like this. Why wouldn’t they? The problem is that those benefitting from this cannot vote. Some say this will get President Obama the Hispanic vote, sure it will but it will probably be offset by the votes of the conservatives, crazies, gun nuts*, ignorant yahoos and of course the root of all evil ; the Constitutional Fascists.

*By the way my wife and I own four guns, a rifle and a shotgun so do not think for a , minute I am some liberal pansy. However I am not an ultra conservative either , have fun trying to pigeon-hole me.

Make the people who are eligible for this “amnesty” serve in the Military or National Guard or to volunteer for a year helping others. And of course they should be required to go to school. Become doctors, scientists, nurses, policemen, anything but lawyers or politicians please we have enough vultures and bottom feeders already.

Bicycle helmets? Really?

If you are over 40 years old remember when you were growing up there were no laws for bicycle helmets. Now you see a kid riding a bike and he has more padding than a hockey goalie.

If you fell of your bike unless there was a bone sticking out or there was a gusher of blood you kept riding with your friends.

We played football in the street, if you fell and got scraped you put some water on it and kept going.

Some parents do not let their kids play organized football because it’s too violent.

Some little leagues do not keep score because so the  team that is getting their brains beat in wont feel bad. Losing makes you try harder next time and builds character.

We drank water out of a garden hose. No one contacted a fatal disease as a result of this.

If the donut you were eating fell to the ground you dusted it off and kept on eating it.

French fries from a hamburger joint did not taste like cardboard.

Pizza, Hamburgers and hot dogs did not make you obese or sick  because your parents did not allow you to overeat.

Going swimming after eating did not give you an embolism.

We had to be dragged in to eat because we were too busy playing, kids nowadays have to be dragged away from their rooms to get some sun.

If the milk carton had an expiration date three days late, we still drank it after giving it the nose test.

Hand sanitizer in those days was water, no soap because you had to go in the house to get that.

If somebody was bullying you it would take an after school fight with your pals having your back to straighten it out, no counselors, no shrinks, no parent conference.
