Rick Perry and Rick Scott, cut from same cloth?

Two Republican governors from two of the poorest states in the Nation, Florida and Texas have refused Federal Medicare funds that are part of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare as the Republican/Obstructionist party would rather call it.

So Dumb as a Post and The Alien have done this on principle because they do not want to pay the 7% the states have to pay for this extra coverage. Mind you the Federal government is picking up 93% of the tab but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…..they wont even implement the law using the excuse that their respective states can’t afford the extra burden. This blatant disregard leaves  2.3 million of their constituents without health insurance. They simply do not care.

Rick “Alien” Scott has gutted Health and Human agencies in Florida while offsetting costs with corporate tax cuts. He has cut children’s medical services and support to the elderly.

Four million dollars have  been cut from Florida’s infectious disease control budget and now there is a possibility that there will be a tuberculosis outbreak in Florida according to the CDC. Oh, and as a result of those cuts the largest TB hospital in Florida is slated to close.

These governors are hiding behind fiscal responsibility in order to stonewall Obamacare and deny much-needed health care to those who need it most.

Let’s give the voters of both those states a pass and imagine they had a brain freeze or were kidnapped by aliens before they voted both of these geniouses into office. But dont let them have another term.
