Ted Cruz, Hispanic Uncle Tom?

Candidate for the Texas Senate Ted Cruz made the following comment at the Republican National Convention in Tampa recently:

“Fifty-five years ago, when my dad was a penniless teenage immigrant, thank God some well-meaning bureaucrat didn’t put his arm around him and say ‘Let me take care of you.Let me give you a government check and make you dependent on government. And by the way, don’t bother learning English.’ That would have been the most destructive thing anyone could have done.”

Hey Ted, what are you doing in the Republican/Obstructionist party? They are getting rid of illegal immigrants as fast as you can say “La Migra”. Nothing wrong with that but how about the hard-working ones that are here and paying their way thru? What about the ones that have had kids born and raised here? Sort of like you.

How about if fifty-five years ago they would put your dad up against the wall and said to him:’Hey sir you need two types of I.D. like a driver’s license and another form of identification to work, drive a car. Oh you don’t? You are undocumented, you have to go, we will deport you since you have no form of I.D.‘ If the senate was filled with the same people back then that are in power now, Papa Cruz might have been deported and you would NOT have been born in the good ol’ U.S.A.

If you do get elected and you probably will since you appear to be the token latino for the Rep/Obs, it will be curious how your vote goes when it comes to the Dream Act.
