Dick Cheney: Dr. Strangelove Lives!

Well folks, when uncle Dick Cheney’s memoirs, In My Time, comes out soon you will unfortunately have a nasty vision of Uncle Dick masturbating over the nuclear button in the White House.

Talk about a war monger, this guy made Genghis Khan look like a choir boy. He wanted to bomb Syria back to the stone age — not that it would take much to get them there. He wanted to bomb Iran to the stone age which in their case would be a huge improvement.

Now he is bombing his old colleagues and running their reputation into the ground. Why?  He doesn’t need the money, he must need or want the power and he must miss the limelight. Continue reading

Charter Schools: Governor Rick Scott’s Recipe For Disaster, Ahem, Success

Here in Florida, the land of the blind, deaf, and dumb voters, we have elected another Governor who is enamored of charter schools.

The last Governor, Bush IV,  the one with at least half a brain (unlike his brother the caricature cowboy who couldnt fill Reagan’s boots let alone his jock strap) tried giving away education in Florida to charter schools (for profit) with the panacea that the state would spend less on education.

It’s bad enough that the state raped the lottery for money, sure they sold us the lottery saying it would go towards education which it did but they did not tell us that whatever money that was earmarked for education was shifted over to other budget issues. Here, bend over, we have to do a probe without KY.

That’s like buying a hot blonde drinks all night, getting her home, and finding out she has a Johnson dangling between her legs and it’s not a dildo. “Surprise!” Continue reading

Democratic Presidential Candidates or Is this the Titanic berth?

To date:
Barack Obama  born, 1961 current president.
Made history by being the first African-American elected to the presidency. Tried to bring a policy of consensus and cooperation to  politics but ran into a Republican NO, NO,NO campaign. Tried to play nice instead of just lowering the hammer but lost faith of his party after mid-term elections.
Chances of re-election 45%

Randall Terry,  born 1959,pro-life activist.
Plans to run an ad campaign featuring graphic photos of aborted fetuses during Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012.
Enough said, chance of election , slim and none and slim has left the building.

Alvin Greene, former U.S, Senate nominee ,South Carolina
quote: “The country cant do without me because I am the man, I was born to be President and I will be 35 the night before the election”.
Must be drinking too much kool-aid

Mike Gravel born 1930, former Senator from Alaska.
Presidential candidate in 2008 elections. Proponent of “Fair Tax”. Is against the draft. Helped putting the Pentagon Papers onto public record .Helped get approval for the Alaska pipeline.
Darkhorse but a long shot.

Warren Mosler, born 1949, CEO of Mosler automotive
Dropped out of Presidential race to run for U.S. Senate
Might have been interesting.

I am sure there will be other Dems throwing their hats inside the ring, the list is very small compared to the Republicans .I am not sure if the Dems have enough candidates or they are just throwing in the towel against the GOP juggernaut or they are just going to wait until 2016 to field better and more candidates.

I voted for Obama and I have been disappointed in his actions. While noble and forthright in trying to do the right thing in a “nice” manner, he should have used the power of the office to get his programs passed without trying to please everybody. Now his slogan should be: “Damm we didn’t”

The Dems had full control of both houses during the first two years of Obama’s term and did nothing but vacillate and try to placate everyone, that is very hard to do. They should have learned from the GOP playbook and just rammed thru what legislation they wanted and left it up to the voters to decide, which apparently they did mid-term after getting fed up with the quagmire in D.C.

Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to bake a cake.

The 5% solution

as you can see by the chart corporate tax revenue is at about 5%  that is where I got my figures, that is why I say that corporations should pay their fair share

$ENATOR Eric Cantor (R-VA) Represents Corporations Rather Than People

$enator Cantor of Virginia is the darling of the investment community. He is accused of being the champion of hedge funds, private equity firms, and real estate partnerships in their quest to keep tax codes the same as they are currently (which is quite favorable for them), so that they may continue to make vast profits (nothing wrong with profits in general) without paying enough taxes. You see the White House wants to make changes in the tax code to have those companies pay just a little bit more of their profits towards the tax revenues of our country. It is estimated that this would raise $20 BILLION dollars in revenue during the next ten years. For the past four years, $enator Cantor has taken the lead in fighting those changes. Coincidentally his Pacs have received nearly $2 million dollars in contributions from securities and investment firms and real estate companies. I know — shocker.

Sure, they are not breaking the law — they are just playing with the system that has gutted or removed restrictions (can you say deregulation?) and codes that were taken out so that our economy could grow, grow, grow and create jobs, jobs, jobs. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. I say the only jobs created are the servants these rich hedge fund fuckers “hire” (can you say illegal aliens paid under the table?).

The amount of greed in corporate America is beyond banal. How many millions of dollars can one spend? How can the CEO of a company pay less taxes than his receptionist? The inmates need to take over the asylum — time to talk tax reform. And I do not mean the Tea Party, those morons were led down the primrose path by the right wing of the Republican Party. It helped them gain back some offices, but of course they turned around and cut entitlement programs that actually helped the tea bagger types.

I am so glad a public servant like $enator Cantor is in office looking out for those poor hedge fund companies and real estate conglomerates. I hope the karma wheel comes his way sooner rather than later. I would like to know what his campaign slogan was — maybe, “Greed is good, let the little people pay taxes, I‘ll make sure big corporations won’t.”

This champion of the rich has had the gall to say if there is a change in the carried interest tax rate it would “raise taxes on innovation.” HUH? And “would harm mom and pop business partnerships.” Really? I must have missed that mom and pop hedge fund company and that mom and pop security and investment firm. And he says this with a straight face, the fucking nerve. If Hunter S. Thompson was still alive he would be popping LSD blotter as fast as a sixty-five year-old Wall Street Republican pops Viagra. H.S.T. was the first to point out fear and loathing in D.C., but what is happening now is beyond power grabs and strippers in the Tidal Basin, it’s blatant greed and corruption at the cost of the American people.

Keep up the good work $enator, the people who elected you must be real proud of having you “represent” them. I am sure your conscience doesnt bother you at night.

Update 2014 : This guy was on my radar back in 2011 now that he has taken a job with Wall Street this week I thought I would republish

R.I.P.

                                                                    Republican party………………R.I..P.

Friends we are gathered here today to mourn the upcoming death of the GOP. It appears that they have lost touch with the American public and seem to just push on with their agenda of no tax increases to the richest 2% of our countrymen.

They have dug in their heels and say no, no, no,no and no to anything coming close to taxing the wealthy ( which is themselves). The rich pay less taxes now than at anytime during the history of this great country.
Polls constantly show that the vast majority of the American public favor taxing the rich individuals and taxing  corporations more than they are currently paying.

A poll this week showed that republicans are losing more Hispanic and African-American voters every day, what a shock!

These rich fat cats are looking out for their collective fat asses and the corporations that donate to their Pacs. My vote for sale, every Senator or Congressman who does so should be made to hang a For Sale sign on their desk, car and wear a hat saying so. Or better yet how about a scarlet letter?  Yeah, a big red W for whore tattooed on their forehead.

They want to cut entitlement programs from the downtrodden public who are living check to check, and are barely scraping by. The public is just too worn down to care.

They will not close tax loopholes that give corporations so many breaks that some do not even play taxes, look up the  tax returns for General Electric, they hardly paid any taxes, I know they are using the current tax laws but those are the ones we need to rescind so companies HAVE TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE.

They use the laws and say that these breaks will create jobs, that is the panacea that turns mayors and small towns into zombies…………..jobs, jobs, jobs they will say like automatons with dilated eyes, I don’t see the jobless numbers going down, do you?

One hundred Senators and four hundred and thirty-five Congressmen who have full cheap medical coverage, free retirement, lifetime pensions simply do not care. I do not want to sound cynical but  are there any of those 535 people who really give a damn about the family scraping by on food stamps, and eating a horrible diet because the cost of food has skyrocketed?. How about the elderly? Not all of them can afford assisted living facilities.

It should be a national disgrace that we have children that do not get three square meals a day in this country. It is a shame that we have homeless people, especially veterans.

What is the solution, a new political party? Throw all the bums out? Make them have term limits of two years and if they do something good for the people let them stay in? Have a national grading system for all elected officials with social conscience worth at least 25% of their grade?

This is the greatest country in the world, but we are living on our reputation, we keep this up we wont be able to call ourselves that in the future.

Oh, and by the way I am a registered Republican, and I am not very proud of it

Coconut Creek Casino

We had an interesting evening at CCC on 6/11, a Saturday night.

They were not as busy as usual probably due to the fact that most snowbirds have headed back home and that casino draws from Delray,Boca, Deerfield which is heavily populated with them.

Mrs.G and I had dinner at Nectar the lounge, live music area. The food was surprisingly good, we had sushi  but the grilled scallops wrapped in bacon and the crab cakes were the stars by far. Service was o.k; there was one server and two bartenders which should have been the other way around. There was a very good blues band playing at the lounge.

The problem we had was at the poker room upstairs. Now,I have been to casinos in the U.S., the Caribbean,Europe and Canada and I have never had a problem getting a drink in a reasonable amount of time. After calling the floor to get someone to take a drink order after playing for 45 minutes, the girl came back in about 35 minutes and did not have our drink order.

I asked the dealer to call the floor so that I could ask for a supervisor and the dealer ( a retired guy from up north who was really tired and weary) told me ” oh, don’t bother they’ll never come and they are shorthanded and if you go downstairs and get a drink you will be back in no time”. this was not what I wanted to hear so I stood up and gestured to the floor manager who looked like a college kid with disinterest as his major in school.

I asked him to get me a supervisor and to say he couldn’t care less is an understatement, maybe he was related to the dealer. He mumbled something about the wait staff being shorthanded.

After waiting another ten minutes for a Supervisor I decided to stop playing poker and proceeded to ask for the shift manager after talking to the front desk person and getting the same “oh, we are shorthanded” claptrap.

The casino shift manager, Galen Thompson came over and listened to our story, apologized for the lack of service and offered to comp us dinner at the  Fresh Harvest which is the all you can eat buffet restaurant that the masses love to eat at. I explained that we had already eaten but he insisted we take his offer for the next time we visited.

I asked him how could they be short-staffed in this economy with the amount of people out of work? He did not have a plausible explanation for that query.

The Mrs. and I decided to play the slots and table games instead of going back to the poker room. About thirty minutes later while we were at the poker machines, Mr. Thompson showed up with a lady he introduced as the food and beverage manager who proceeded to apologize profusely for the lack of service and offered us a drink which was gratefully accepted even though I offered to pay for the drink. The Mrs. asked me how they tracked us down and I pointed to the frequent player cards that were inserted in the poker machines, Big Brother is watching.

A very classy act on their part, really made up for the others.  It made for  a great evening after all and we will definately return.

A trial for Bin Laden? are you serious?

The New York Times reported that one of the adult sons of Bin Laden was whining about how his poor Daddy did not have a trial and that the U.S. was violating its legal principles by killing an unarmed man.

Did any of the people in the World Trade Center have a trial?

Did any of the cops and firemen that perished have a trial?

Did any of the first responders have a trial?

Did the victims in the Pentagon have a trial?

Did the people on Flight 93 have a trial?

This is my response: GO TO HELL you lowlife coward. You should be nuked back to the stone age, wait!, going back to the stone age is probably an improvement in that part of the world.

You have a lot of nerve to even bring the subject up. The rest of the Al-Qaeda gang is probably hiding up some camels ass after what happened to dear Daddy.  If theres a knock on the door, dont forget to grab one of your wives for a shield Ahmed. Maybe that is why they have so many wives.

The Seal teams leave no stone unturned so don’t hide under any rocks Ahmed. The U.S. will hunt you down like the cowards that you are.

The great Satan

No, this column is not about the ex-wife ( pick one, any of them). Will leave that for another piece.

This is about the demise of the world’s number one terrorist, Osama Bin Laden,  who sank to rest on May 1st 2011 by the hands of our brave lads in our counter terrorism SEAL teams.

Of course the douchebag was not living in a cave but with all the comforts of home, including multiple wives, children, goats, donkeys, burros and other family members. Hmmmmmmm………………. maybe he was in pre-hell?

I guess the Pakistani Secret Intelligence group is the latest example of an oxymoron. Couldnt find him right under their turbans if they tried.

So the muslims in that part of the world want us “The great satan ” out of their country. They do not want us interfering with their government. I agree ,we should get the hell out of there and let them keep blowing themselves up.

However do not call on us when the latest tincup despot and his corrupt government are stealing your country blind.

Dont call us to protect you from the neighboring hordes who are coming to take what little you have left and sodomize your goat while they are at it.

Dont call us to help you out because a mud sandwich is all you can make to eat because relief food sent is either stolen, misappropriated or tied up in red tape by some towel headed bureaucrat who couldn’t find his customs stamp cause he probably sold it to feed his camel.

Go ahead and keep putting corrupt thugs in office. Go ahead and support extremists give them shelter, just keep your family away from public places in case a misguided moronic martyr who thinks he is getting 72 virgins for his efforts blows up the local food court ( open air market ) in Cameltown.

You had an earthquake? Floods? Drought?  Typhoons? pestilence? plague of locusts?  Think the karma wheel is trying to tell you something? .

You morons in the Middle East have been going at each others throats since Methuselah was a boy, how about getting it together and maybe getting along sometime in the next century or so?  If not go to third world hell or just go nuclear and get it over with, you know it’s largely a desert over there just make it all desert, all the time.
